The weekend started off very well for the Trojans. At SportsPlus in Cincinnati, a potent offense was on display at Troy pounded host Mason 10-1. It was a convincing victory after the Trojans barely squeaked by Mason by one goal in their last meeting.
Sunday was not so fortunate for Troy. Hosting Elder, the boys were beaten by a determined Panthers team 9-4. The Trojans hope to avenge the loss on January 26th when they face Elder again at the Northland Ice Rink.
On a positive note, Sunday night was First Responder Night. A pregame ceremony honored members of police and fire departments, paramedics, and other first responders from Miami and Montgomery Counties. The event was well-attended and featured a between-periods shootout contest between rival departments.
