Courtney Lombardo, MS/CCC-SLP

Courtney has over 15 years of experience with both pediatric and geriatric clients, having worked for Head Start Centers, schools, extended care facilities, assisted living facilities, and home health agencies.  She attended Miami University for both undergraduate and graduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1998 and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 1999.   She is a member of both the Ohio Speech-Langauge-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence.

Courtney holds additional certification in different types of treatment for both children and adults.  She is certified to use VitalStim, a neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy for the treatment of adult swallowing disorders.  She is also certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) protocol for the treatment of voice disorders among patients with Parkinson's Disease.  Recently she has received training and certification in the use of Integrated Listening Systems, which is an interactive type of sound therapy targeting improved sensory and auditory processing, attention and focus, and reading  comprehension.  It can be effective for clients of all ages.

Courtney currently resides in Troy with her husband, three children, and three dogs.  She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
